Conference: "How secrecy affects the management of a family business".

Saturday March 2026, 3:00 PM

How can secrecy affect the management of a company? And, in the case of a family business, how does this manifest itself?
How can silences, unspoken words, omissions and secrets influence the day-to-day running of a family business?
In many family businesses, silence is as important as words. Secrets are passed down from generation to generation, hindering decision-making and affecting the harmony and longevity of the business.
In this talk, we will examine how the presence of secrets directly hinders the autonomy and growth of the business, and limits decision-making.

Workshop: Silence and secrets: When others are silent, what resonates with me?

There are silences that cross generations. Words never spoken, gestures interrupted, pain buried in the body and in the family memory.
Faced with another’s silence, something inside us reacts – sometimes with unease, sometimes with unspeakable emptiness.

In this meeting, we’ll explore these silences and secrets. What is transmitted without being said. An invitation to listen delicately to silence.
Experiential and reflective – to explore the emotional, relational and transgenerational effects of silence and secrets, recognizing their invisible impact and opening up ways of listening, expressing and integrating.
