Conference: Silence and Secrecy
Saturday, March 2026, at 4:30 p.m.
Family ghosts stem from traumas that our ancestors were unable to cope with emotionally in their own time. In these ancestral scenes, family secrets and things left unsaid unfortunately abound. But more than that, the intensity of the traumas experienced has created individual defense systems which, little by little, become more or less conscious family strategies, whose function is to create the illusion that the trauma never happened. Beyond secrecy and silence, the unthinkable and inconceivable are at work. Psychogenealogy can help to bring light and healing where darkness and the repetition of trauma have previously reigned.
